The singer released her debut Know It All album in the same year. The third track, Scars to Your Beautiful was among five tracks to reach the top of the charts on Billboard including Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 as well as Billboard Hot 100. This track was special because, based on the interview with Rap-Up that she did with her listeners were able to relate to her experience in discovering their own love while battling with her. Cara has earned a name for her messages about the importance of mental health, kindness and self-love in her music. The music she sings is reflective of her own struggles in dealing with anxiety and depression. According to an Reuters interview, the album is described as both turbulent and yet perfectly crafted. The therapy she received has helped her develop and encourages her fans to make the same. Alessia Cara is a Canadian musician who was born the 11th of July, 1996 to parents with Italian heritage. When she was 10 years old, her parents gifted her a guitar which became the basis in her music passion. After three years, at the age of 13, she started covering her most loved songs on YouTube one of the biggest media platforms in order to demonstrate to the world that she was talented and the determination to be a singer. The cover of Sweater Weather eventually got her noticed by a record label called EP Entertainment which allowed her to write and compose the songs.
